At 5 inches high, how much soil do i need for a 4′ X 8′ raised garden bed?

Bags here come in 1 and 2 CU FT. How many bags will I need?

You need 13.3 cubic feet.

Make sure that you buy loam, not topsoil. And I would not use 100% loam but include some compost or composted manure ( not dehydrated) as 20% of the total volume. That way you will have nice fertile soil to start your garden off.
