i am leaning towards woods but I am concerned about the chemicals used in treated woods. What should I use?
Thanks!
For flowers you can use treated woods, but never use then for a veggie garden. For veggie gardens you need to use redwood or ceder so they don’t rot away to fast. I’d go with cement block, it’s a lot cheaper then redwood or ceder.
BTW: In the USA they haven’t treateed wood with arsenic in years.
First off you don’t want to use any wood that has been treated as you don’t want those chemicals in your soil (usually arsenic). Wood will rot and have to be replaced eventually so why not try brick, block or stone? It would be permanent and easy to care for.

Cedar. All wood rots eventually but cedar will rot more slowly, and if you haven’t stained it, it will make very nice kindling after it has been replaced in the garden.

I personally do not like the look of a raised wood bed. I have an L shaped brick bed that I have filled with different colored vinca and periwinkle.
