what kind of drainage stone is good for raised garden on long island soil?

i’ve read nothing with limestone (ie: cement, concrete) or silt should be used. will need about 2 cu. yds. Bags of rocks at local stores are expensive and would like to know what to use short of picking rocks from the north shore. many thanks….judy
