I think you are still getting frost/snow/freezes. I would not plant anything until the danger of frost is passed. If you are near Toledo, you still have snow on the ground, so no planting yet.

L@@king outside (being east of Cleveland) and seeing snow, I would say nothing for the time being. The things not so effected by frost tho would be planting peas and cabbage first, but I would still wait until you can till the garden first.

You have to wait until the ground thaws. The end of April should be okay for pansies. They have held up well in the frost for me in the past.

What zone are you? 5, 6, 7? You can plant peas, but it is a myth that you must put in peas by St. Patty’s, and I will guarantee you that if you plant peas now, more than half of your seeds will rot. You can plant alot of cool season plants under a cold frame, but if the air temp goes below 26F, which is very possible in the next two weeks, then you must bring anything outside in. Start some seeds inside and sit tight just a little longer.

You can start some plants indoors now. Plant about May first.
