Are ornamental gourds toxic to children and small animals?
I’m concerned if my kids try to put the gourds we buy at the supermarket into their mouths and take a bite.

Gourds are just a type of squash.

Most gourds are toxic, but put them where they are out of reach- like on a mantle, in a bowl on your kitchen table, etc.. Don’t put them where little hands will reach or be able to get at them easily. If they do, tell them "no touch" and put it back.
