what is the best plants to put around a water fall in So Cal?
I have a 4 foot fall with a 7×3 ft river and a 5×3 pond. the mound around it spreads about 12 feet with a pyramid style spread to it on the sides and back. This is the best I can do to describe it it really is beautiful. I wanted to keep it natural with mountain type evergreen shrubs and even a small tree like shrub pine tree shaped maybe. Does this make any sense?

Try Juniper prostrata or procumbens for a maintenance free, yet wonderfully evergreen planting. Intersperse them with Aztec grass or variegated phormium for real drama. It would be lovely.
